So I wasn’t planning on entering the latest Brackey’s jam as I didn’t really have time but I always keep an eye out for themes and when I saw ‘It is not real’ this idea popped into my head and I just had to make it. It’s not exactly polished but I’ve spent as much time on it as I can. It’s not so much a game as a kind of experiment; I hope you find it interesting, thought provoking or entertaining.

P.S. I’ll sell you any of the ‘art’ I created as an NFT for a bajillion cryptobux.

I got 9/15 in the end. Some of them were easy to guess just because the picture quality was different. But a lot of them could be guessed by how different the elements in the picture were from each other. The AI art tended to look unique, but one part of the picture looked exactly like the other. AI, as it is today, draws from a set of existing examples to derive a style and create a new picture entirely based on that style. It isn't adding any ideas of it's own.

I love this. It's.... Surprisingly difficult. Honestly, hovering over images to enlarge them instead of clicking would have made this a lot easier to work with, but it's just so..... Smooth and simple an idea. Amazing.

I assumed this would be easy but I actually had a surprisingly hard time! I got 7/15 at the end. sometimes when I got it right, I felt like it was obvious why. other times, a choice I discarded as obviously not by a person was the right one. I dislike a lot of "AI" art and I don't think my performance challenges that, but this does make me think about assumptions (especially the ones I make) that go into examining a piece of art.
